William J.Tuker – Scientific Prediction
Mr. Tucker is of counsel to the firm. He has practiced law in central Indiana since his admission to the Indiana Bar in 1975. His practice is focused primarily on small business legal services including, formation, transactions, succession, deadlock, workouts and dissolution. He represents individuals and businesses for the purpose of achieving financial goals and developing solutions through negotiation, mediation, refinancing, restructure, liquidation, reorganization, informal workouts and if necessary court supervised workouts and related litigation. Mr. Tucker has developed extensive knowledge and expertise regarding informal business dissolutions and workouts with lenders, creditors, taxing authorities, and litigant parties. He has successfully negotiated and mediated solutions in matters including loan defaults, real estate foreclosures, violations of Federal Consumer Protection laws, landlord/tenant disputes, business deadlocks and dissolutions, tort claims, fraud claims, contract disputes, and various other creditor/debtor disputes. He is experienced and able to proceed with extensive litigation when informal business and economic resolutions fail or when needed to promote such solutions.
Mr. Tucker has served as a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel Trustee for more than 35 years and has been appointed to serve as a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Trustee. He is also appointed by State and Federal Courts to provide services as a Receiver over various businesses, real property, and personal property. As counsel, he has provided sound legal advise to numerous Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustees, Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Trustees, Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 debtors and related creditors, Chapter 11 Bankruptcy creditor committees and State and Federal court appointed Receivers. Mr. Tucker was born in Greensburg, Indiana. He received his B.S. in Accounting from Indiana State University in 1971 and J.D. from the Salmon P. Chase School of Law of Northern Kentucky in 1975. He is licensed in Indiana, Ohio, and Florida. He is admitted to practice in the Indiana Supreme Court, United States District Courts for the Southern District of Indiana and Northern District of Indiana, as well as the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Tucker has presented at numerous seminars covering such topics as Bankruptcy, Business, Tax Sales, and Ethics. He has guest lectured at the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University and the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis and has been voted a Super Lawyer.
Mr. Tucker enjoys hiking and watching sports with his wife, fishing with friends and family and driving (mostly fixing) his 1962 TR3.
