Summary Frank Barbera – Sector Rotation & Market Timing
I’m a Senior Lecturer of Management at the University of Adelaide. Working with the Family Business Education and Research Group (FBERG) in the Adelaide Business School, I aim to advance family business research and education in Australia.
My professional background includes working as an Assistant Professor in Family Enterprise and as the Director of the Family Enterprise Center at Stetson University in Florida, USA. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Bond University in Queensland, Australia while working at the Australian Centre for Family Business (ACFB).
My research covers a wide range of topics at the intersection of family business, small business, entrepreneurship, management, and business education. My work has been published in peer reviewed journals which include the Family Business Review, Small Business Economics, and the Academy of Management Learning and Education, and is regularly presented at international conferences, such as the Family Enterprise Research Conference (FERC) and the International Family Enterprise Research Academy (IFERA).
I’m also an active member in the family business community through my work as a coach for the annual Global Family Enterprise Case Competition (FECC) in Vermont, a member of the Family Business Review’s Editorial Board, a Team Leader for Babson College’s Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices (STEP) Project, and a faculty member for the Family Firm Institute’s (FFI) GEN Certificate program.
